Ms. Sherry (Preschool Staff)

“I have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of kids. I love to see kids learn and develop not just from books, but from everyday life experiences. In the past I’ve taught art and technology to preschoolers and kindergartners, along with Sunday school.”

Ms. DeShield (School Staff)

” ‘Love Learning for a Lifetime’ is my motto! Learning happens all the time in many different ways. My challenge is to find ways to help students discover answers and solutions, rather than to constantly give them answers. Having raised 3, now adult children, and working in education for over 30 years, this has given me many years of experience. Yet and still, I am always looking for ways to give students different learning experiences.”

Ms. Claudina (School Staff)

“I have danced at the White House twice and I enjoy being a mother. I’ve written a book while in highschool, which sold over 5,000 copies. I have my own non profit organization called Pears of Anacostia, which provides free dance lessons to the children of Southeast DC. I love reading and teaching has always been my purpose here on earth!”
